Eighty people on board Delta Flight 4819 when it flipped upside down, moments after touch down, on the Toronto Airport runway.

 

Eighteen people, on the flight from Minneapolis, were taken to hospital with minor injuries. It was the latest flight in a series of aviation accidents involving U.S passenger planes in the past three weeks.

 

The cause of the crash is yet to be determined. Initial reports said the crash occurred amid gusty winds in the wake of weekend's 22 centimetres of snow.

 

But in a media briefing, Toronto Pearson Fire Chief Todd Aitken said the runway was dry and there were no crosswinds.
