Over the past 7-8 years, nearly ₹7,000 crore has been spent on cleaning the Yamuna River. To uncover the reality, we conducted an on-ground survey from Wazirabad to Okhla Barrage. Despite large allocations and government promises, the results on the ground are disappointing. The river remains heavily polluted, with little visible impact from the funds spent.
